Message Wait a minute tho you are cutting these from billet? As in BARSTOCK? Why would you not be cutting these from tubing that has near right dimensions. Something with just enough wall at the right radius so that you do less cutting as generate less chips. I know extruded tubing isn't cheap but isnt barstock even worse? Wait here we go...

in this example the barstock costs twice. Even if you are making the smaller rings from the inside material smaller diameter tubes are disproportionately cheaper. What about tool wear, raw material shipping weight, etc etc. Just wanting to save you some headaches.
